Ginger Apple Shot

Trying their delicious ginger apple shot at Joe & The Juice, I fell in love with the refreshing, warming and spicy taste of ginger and fresh apple juice that gives the shot its natural sweetness.The two ingredients allow it to easy make your own homemade ginger apple shot fresh from your kitchen. I personal love starting my day with one of those refreshing, spicy and delicious shots or boosting my immune system on cold winter days. 

Ginger mainly gets its spicy taste and warming effect from gingerol. Gingerols are anti-inflammatory compounds responsible for the reduction of inflammation. These compounds make ginger a delicious spice with many great health benefits like for example improving or preventing a cold or sore throat. Furthermore ginger can be used for relieving digestive problems such as nausea, loss of appetite, motion sickness and pain.

Ingredients:
Serves approximately one shot glass. We normally like to make a lot more and store it in an airtight bootle in the refrigerator, to start each day with a Ginger Apple Shot. 

10-15 g fresh ginger, depends on how strong you like it
One small apple
One small slice of an apple
One ice cup

Directions:
Peel the ginger.
Wash the apple and cut out a small slice of the apple, keep it for later.
Place the ginger and apple in a juicer.
Pour the juice into a shot or small glass.
Add one ice cup, Enjoy
    ➻ Enjoy the apple slice, for a sweet aftertaste.
